Investigation Begins Into Helicopter Crash
A British registered helicopter carrying two people had to make a crash-landing yesterday evening in County Wicklow.
An investigation has now been launched into the crash-landing outside Newtownmountkennedy.
Both the pilot and a passenger escaped injury, but the helicopter was completely destroyed by the fire.
Gardai have sealed off the area to allow the Department of Transport’s Air Accident Investiagation Unit to begin their investigation.

63-Year-Old Dies In Sailing Accident
Dyfed-Powys Police have reported the death of a 63-year-old man in a sailing accident off the Pembrokeshire coast. According to police, the man was with two others in a dinghy that capsized at about 18:35 on Wednesday at Newport beach.

Three Northumbria Burglary Arrests
Three people have been arrested on suspicion of burglary in Cowgate, following additional police patrols in the area. At 3pm on Thursday October 29, police received a report of a burglary at Birnham Place, Montagu. The suspects were disturbed inside the house and made off on to the moor.

RAF Hercules Airlifts Premature Newborn Twins
Twins born prematurely have been airlifted by an RAF Hercules aircraft from the Outer Hebrides to a hospital on the Scottish mainland, in an emergency rescue operation. The mother of the babies went into labour at 27 weeks and gave birth in hospital in Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis on Sunday.
