Two People Due In Court In Thames Headless Body Case

Two people are due to appear in court charged with the murder of a female student whose headless body was found floating in a bag in the River Thames.

The body of 23-year-old Xing Xing Xie was found in South Dock Marina in Rotherhithe in April. Her head and hands had been removed.

Miss Xie, a Chinese national, had been living in Lambeth in south London for five years.

A post-mortem revealed that she died from neck injuries caused by a sharp instrument.

Noor Azura Mohd-Yusoff, 21, and Trach Lon Gian, 26, are due to appear before Redbridge Magistrates' Court on Monday, charged with her murder.
