Arrests follow drugs raids in Buckinghamshire
More than 20 people have been arrested following raids at 30 addresses in Aylesbury in a crackdown on class A drugs and associated criminality.
Local officers, supported by specialist teams and some armed officers, began the raids at around 6:30am on Wednesday morning and continued throughout the morning.
The warrants were carried out at homes and businesses under Operation Falcon, Thames Valley Police and partners' long-term class A drugs strategy.
Those who were arrested are currently being held in custody at police stations across Buckinghamshire.
Substances believed to be class A drugs have been seized at a number of addresses and are currently awaiting analysis. A large quantity of cash was also seized.
Superintendent Graham Bell, the officer in charge of the crackdown, said: "This is the biggest drugs crackdown in Aylesbury's history and it has been meticulously planned by our intelligence development team over the past months. Operation Falcon is about putting fear into drug dealers and getting help for those who need it."
