Fourteen teenagers bailed over boy's death
Fourteen teenagers have been released on bail after a 16-year-old boy was stabbed to death during a street fight in south London at the weekend.
The teenager, who has been named as Ben Hitchcock, was stabbed to death in Beckenham just before midnight on Saturday.
Police were called to the scene following reports of a gang fight in the area. They found the teenager suffering from serious injuries and he was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The teenagers who were arrested were all aged between 13 and 16 and included a girl. They have been released on bail until Wednesday.
Police said that they did not believe that the stabbing was racially motivated and was instead related to a group trying to gatecrash a party.
