QE2 to be sold to Dubai World
The QE2 liner is to be sold to the Dubai World company in a deal worth more than £50 million.
The 70,000-tonne Cunard vessel, which was launched by the Queen in 1967, will be turned into a luxury floating hotel, which will be based at a pier at the Palm Jumeirah development.
Istithmar, the investment arm of Dubai World, purchased the QE2. The company also owns shipping company P&O.

Staff At North Wales Bus Company Find Company Ceases Overnight
Employees of Western Greyhound in Cornwall have arrived at work this morning to find the company has ceased trading. According to a report by the BBC, around 40 staff arrived for work on Friday morning and found the depot closed.

Games Company To Create 60 Jobs In Wales
A London-based games development company is to create 60 jobs in south Wales. According to WalesOnline, Oyster World is to set up a new development, marketing and R&D centre at Melin Corrwg Business Park, near Pontypridd. The company has received business finance support of £1m from the Welsh Government for the expansion.

BBC World Service Cuts International Output
BBC World Service has released details of its response to a cut to its Grant-in-Aid funding from the UK's Foreign & Commonwealth Office - with fewer language services as a result. BBC World Service is to carry out a fundamental restructure in order to meet the 16% savings target required by the Government's Spending Review of 20 October last year.
