Sisters were 'repeatedly stabbed'

Two teenage girls who were found dead at their mum's home in Cambridgeshire this week had both suffered multiple stab wounds to the chest, post-mortem results revealed.

The bodies of Davina, 16, and thirteen-year-old Jasmine Kumari-Baker, were found in the house in The Crofters in Stretham in Cambridgeshire on Wednesday morning.

Their mother, Rekha Kumari-Baker, is being questioned by police after being arrested on suspicion of murder.

Police have been granted more time to continue questioning her.

Both Davina and Jasmine had pages on the networking site Bebo and their friends have been posting tributes to the sisters there.

On Thursday, Mr Baker released a statement, describing his daughters as "irreplaceable". The statement said: "We have so many good memories. We all used to sing together and go shopping. I was so proud to walk down the street with my two beautiful daughters."
