Groom in jail following stag stunt

A British man is facing missing his wedding after being jailed following a drunken stag night prank.

Stephen Mallone, 25, from Tenbury Wells in Worcestershire, was arrested after jumping naked into an ornamental fountain in Bratislava in Slovakia, following a day of drinking.

However, when he went to court he was sentenced to an immediate two-month sentence for being drunk and disorderly.

Mr Mallone is due to wed his fiancée Kerry Stokes, 22, on June 15 and diplomatic efforts are continuing to secure his release.

The couple have spent £20,000 on their wedding, which includes a chocolate fountain, and 250 guests from across Europe have been invited.

Ms Stokes is reportedly planning to go ahead with her hen night, which is due to take place at Butlins this weekend.
