Police officers due in court on child porn charges
Two police officers are due to appear in court today, charged with possessing indecent images of children.
Detective Constable Graham Ferguson, 40, from the Metropolitan Police and PC Gerard Collins, 26, from the British Transport Police are both due to appeal before City of Westminster Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
Det Con Ferguson is charged with two counts of possessing indecent images of children, while PC Collins is charged with three counts of the same offence.
According to Scotland Yard, Det Con Ferguson is accused of possessing more than 80 indecent images of children on or before January 30 this year.
PC Collins is accused of possessing a total of almost 30 indecent images on or before the same date.

The former partner of Shannon Matthews' mother has pleaded not guilty to possessing indecent images of children. Craig Meehan, 22, of Moorside Road, Dewsbury Moor, was accused of possessing 140 indecent images of children. They were allegedly found on two computers at his home address.
