Search underway for taxi driver killer

Police are searching for the killer of a taxi driver in Kent who ran over the victim with his own cab.

Police were called to St Benedict's Avenue in Gravesend shortly after 10pm on Wednesday night, following reports that a man had been assaulted and then run over.

They found the man, who has not been named, in the road. One of the men who was first on the scene told the BBC that the victim had "burn marks" on his arms from the car's exhaust.

The car was later found abandoned and set alight in nearby Truro Road.

Conservative MP Adam Holloway urged the killer to give themselves up to the police. He said: "That person should be in custody as soon as possible. If you are the idiot who did this, you better go to the police right now."
