Tarrant arrested following alleged 'assault'
TV celebrity Chris Tarrant has been arrested following an alleged assault in an Indian restaurant in Nottingham.
The questionmaster of 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire' was questioned after a man called police claiming he had been injured in an attack at a Nottingham curry house.
Nottinghamshire police confirmed that a 60-year-old man had been arrested on suspicion of assault and had been taken for questioning.
He was subsequently bailed pending further inquiries.
Tarrant was granted a divorce from his wife Ingrid in February.
The couple had been married for 15 years, but announced their divorce after Tarrant admitted to an affair with a teacher.

A 21-year-old German man arrested by police in relation to the murder of a British internet gaming enthusiast in Nottingham is to face extradition proceedings. Twenty-year-old Matthew Pyke was found dead in his flat above the Orange Tree pub on North Sherwood Street last Friday.

Suspect arrested over PC shooting
Police have confirmed that a man arrested on Friday at Heathrow Airport is the suspect wanted in connection with the shooting of police officer Rachael Bown. Police arrested Trevon Kyron Thomas, 24, from Bilborough, Nottingham at Heathrow Airport around 11am on Friday morning.

Teenager Arrested Over Rape Of 12-Year-Old Girl
A 17-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the rape of 12-year-old girl in east London. Three males lead the girl to a "secluded" end of a street in Walthamstow at around 00:15 on Saturday before two of them attacked her, held her down and raped her.
