One person killed in M1 collision
One man has died and four others have been injured following a collision on the M1 motorway through Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire.
The collision, which involved four HGV lorries - one of which was a petrol tanker - and a car, happened on the northbound carriageway between junctions 13 and 14 around 2:45am on Wednesday morning.
A 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. She was released on bail until June 5.
Both the southbound and northbound carriageways of the motorway have now reopened.

Family of four die in motorway collision
A family of four have been killed following a road smash on the M1 in the early hours of this morning. The four died – two adults and a boy and a girl – after an articulated lorry collided with the rear of their car at around 12.20am. Their vehicle was shunted into another articulated lorry in front.

Up To Four Suffer 'Life-Changing' Injuries In Troop Carrier Collision
More than 20 people have been injured, 4 or 5 seriously, in a collision involving three troop carriers on Salisbury Plain. Wiltshire Police were called to the accident at about 18:30 on Wednesday. The cause of the accident is being investigated but it is understood that 4 or 5 people have suffered "life-changing injuries".

Lorry Driver Charged Over Motorway Deaths
A lorry driver has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving after a family of six were killed in a motorway collision. David and Michelle Statham had been returning to their home in Llandudno, north Wales, with their four children after visiting relatives in the West Midlands.

Matab Uddin, 59, of Blackshots Lane, Essex was found guilty of causing death by dangerous driving and fraud. The court heard how police were called on Sunday, 17 November 2013 at about 1:45am to reports of a man injured on Essex Road.

Investigation Launched After Death Of Woman Following Bus Fall
A woman has died in hospital after falling on a route E3 bus on Chiswick High Road, just after 13:30 on Tuesday, 18 August. The 77-year-old woman was taken to hospital by ambulance, where she was pronounced dead shortly before 17:00.
