Brother's tribute to webcam death man

The brother of a man who broadcast his own suicide live on the internet has paid tribute to his sibling, describing him as "bubbly," "kind" and "considerate".

Father-of-two Kevin Whitrick, 42, was found hanged in his home in Telford in Shropshire last week.

His death was broadcast live on the internet, as he was taking part in a chatroom. Another on-line user alerted police to his death.

Malcolm Whitrick said that his brother would be remembered for his "bubbly temperament" and rejected "unsubstantiated reports" in the media portraying him as "a heavy drinking, computer-crazed person".

Mr Whitrick said that Kevin had suffered from severe depression for several years and his condition had worsened last year, but to his father's death and injuries he suffered in a car accident.

An inquest into Kevin Whitrick's death was opened and adjourned last week. Police inquiries are continuing.
