British tourists killed by elephant
Two British tourists have died in Zimbabwe after being charged by an elephant.
It is understood that the bull elephant attacked the tourists - named as Veronica Parker and her ten-year-old daughter Charlotte - as they participated in a guided tour in Hwange National Park.
Mrs Parker's husband and father of Charlotte was taken to hospital with serious injuries following the attack.
An investigation is now under way to discover if the armed guides on the tour had been negligent.
After crocodiles, elephants pose the second most dangerous threat to humans from animals in Zimbabwe.
Twelve people were trampled to death by charging elephants in 2005, according to official figures.
