Accidental overdose killed Anna Nicole Smith
Former Playboy Playmate Anna Nicole Smith's death was the result of an accidental drug overdose, an autopsy has revealed.
Broward Police Chief Charlie Tiger said that nothing had been found to indicate foul play.
The 39-year-old former model, actress and reality TV star collapsed and died at a hotel in Seminole, Florida on February 8.
Broward Medical Examiner Joshua Perper said that there was no evidence of disease, which could have explained the death.
He said that Ms Smith had been taking a variety of prescription drugs at the time of her death and confirmed that prescription drugs were found in the hotel room, but did not reveal what they were.
Mr Tiger added that a laptop belonging to Ms Smith's lawyer and boyfriend Howard Stern had also contained nothing unusual which pointed to foul play.
He also added: "We have reviewed hundreds of hours of video tape captured by the hotel security cameras and we found nothing unusual."
Mr Tiger said that the case was now closed.
