Youth arrested over ice rink murder

Police investigating the murder of a teenager at an ice rink in southwest London have arrested a 16-year-old youth.

James Andre Smartt-Ford, 16, was shot twice in front of hundreds of people at the Streatham Ice Rink on February 3.

The 16-year-old youth, from South Norwood, south London, was arrested on Thursday.

He is the eighth person to be arrested in connection with James' murder. Six other youths and an 18-year-old man were arrested in connection with the shooting last month. All have been released on police bail.

Teen arrested over Newcastle stabbing death
A 16-year-old youth has been arrested on suspicion of murder after another teenager was stabbed to death in Newcastle. The body of the boy, also believed to be 16, was found around 2am on Tuesday morning in the Hallow Drive area of Throckley. Northumbria Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward.

Police investigating the murder of a teenage Army cadet have arrested three more people. Joseph Lappin, 16, from Old Swan, died in hospital on October 20, after he was stabbed in the heart outside a youth club in Everton. He and two friends had been chased by a crowd of up to 15 people and attacked on the steps of Shrewsbury House Youth Club.

Youth Charged With East Dulwich Murder
A 16-year-old boy from Peckham has been accused of the murder of 18-year-old Daniel Graham in East Dulwich. He appeared in custody on Saturday, 19 February, at Croydon Youth Court. Police were called around midnight on Saturday 29 January following reports of an assault close to East Dulwich rail station.

Teen in court over stabbing death
A 17-year-old has appeared in court charged with the murder of a woman stabbed to death on a south London street. The youth, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is accused of murdering Carmelita Tulloch, 51. Mrs Tulloch, who has two daughters and a granddaughter, was attacked as she walked to work around 9am on Tuesday morning.
