Toddler's funeral to be held next week
A coroner has given permission for the funeral of two-year-old Casey Leigh Mullen to be held next week, at the opening of an inquest into her death.
The toddler was found dead at her home in Oak Tree Crescent in Gipton in Leeds on February 11.
A post-mortem revealed that the toddler died from compression of the neck. During Tuesday's hearing it also emerged that a second post-mortem had been carried out at the request of Mr Mullen's defence lawyers.
Her uncle, 21-year-old Michael Mullen, has been charged with her rape and murder and his trial is due to begin on July 2.
He is next due to appear in court for a plea and case management hearing on April 16.
At Leeds Coroner's Court on Tuesday, Coroner David Hincliff announced that the inquest would be adjourned until after Mr Mullen's trial.

At Leeds Crown Court on Monday, Michael Mullen, 21, of Lawrence Road in Gipton, pleaded guilty to raping and murdering the two-year-old at her home in Oak Tree Crescent in the Gipton area of Leeds on February 11 last year.

No Inquest Over Baby P
A north London Coroner has ruled that an inquest into the death of Baby Peter will not go ahead. Shortly after Baby Peter Connelly was found dead, at his Tottenham home in 2007, an inquest was opened and then adjourned. The toddler was discovered with more than 50 injuries in a blood-splattered cot.
