Search continues for missing diver
A search is continuing for a diver missing at Dorothea Quarry, near Caernarfon.
The woman, who is believed to be in her 40s and from the Cheshire area, was diving with a male companion on Sunday afternoon when she got into difficulties, becoming entangled in ropes in the water.
The man stayed with her, trying to free her until he was forced to swim to the surface.
An ambulance was called to the scene and the 45-year-old man was treated at the scene before being airlifted by the RAF to a decompression unit on the Wirral.
Diving teams are at the location in the Nantile Valley and are continuing the search for the woman.
The area is popular with divers from across the UK. However, 21 people have died there since 1994.
