Reward offered to catch teen's killers

Police are offering a £20,000 reward for information leading to the conviction of the killers of Manchester teenager Jessie James.

Jesse, 15, was shot dead as he cycled through Broadfield Park in Moss Side last September.

Since the shooting, police created a BBC Crimewatch reconstruction of the murder and placed video clips on the YouTube website in order to encourage anyone with information to come forward.

Police are hoping that the reward will act as an added incentive for people to come forward.

Detective Superintendent Shaun Donnellan said that anyone who could provide police with information would be offered protection for themselves and their family. He said: "Your courage could convict a killer. Think about Jessie's family. They too are victims and their suffering is dreadful. Do the right thing, tell me who took Jessie from them."
