Charlotte Church confirms pregnancy
Singer and television presenter Charlotte Church has announced that she is pregnant.
The 21-year-old is expecting her first child with her rugby star boyfriend Gavin Henson.
The news was confirmed in a statement from the star's management on her web-site. The statement said: "For reasons of privacy, Charlotte has chosen not to comment on this matter, other than to confirm that she and her boyfriend, Gavin Henson, are delighted.
"In an ideal world, we would not have made this announcement so early in the pregnancy. However, due to recent speculation and persistent questions from the media about this most private of matters, Charlotte felt she had no choice other than to go public and she was keen to ensure that her fans had the opportunity to read the truth."
Church shot to international fame as a popular classical singer at the age of 11. She received her big break at the age of 11 when she performed 'Pie Jesu’ on the game show 'Talking Telephone Numbers' in 1997.
Her album 'Voice Of An Angel' sold millions of copies worldwide.
Charlotte launched a pop career in 2005 with her first pop album 'Tissues and Issues'.
She launched her television career with her own entertainment show, 'The Charlotte Church Show', on Channel 4 last year. The second series is currently running on the channel.
