Police appeal for information on serial sex attacker
Police in Lancashire have appealed for information following the latest attack by a serial sex attacker in the area.
The attackers initial attacks took place on December 4 last year. On that day, the man indecently assaulted six women - aged between 15 and 49 - in Bamber Bridge, Walton le Dale and Clayton Brook. Police also said that that the offender exposed himself during at least one of the attacks.
Following those incidents, there was another attack on December 20, near Duddle Lane in Walton le Dale.
The latest incident took place on February 10 when a female passenger was approached in Walton le Dale just after she got off the 125 bus from Preston bus station at 5pm.
Police said that the attacker followed the woman from Chorley Road and onto Windsor Road before indecently touching her and said that he may have been travelling on the same bus.
The offender is described as being in his twenties, white and around 6ft tall, with a slender build and defined cheekbones. He was clean-shaven and had dark, spiky hair with highlights. He was wearing a parka-type jacket with a fur-lined hood and blue jeans.
PC Terry McKibbin from Lancashire Police said: "We are treating these incidents as being linked and would like to hear from anyone that may have witnessed any of them or who may know who the offender is. We believe that someone must know who he is and there maybe further incidents that have not been reported.
"None of the females were hurt but they have been shaken up by what has happened."
Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on: 01772 415987 or Crimestoppers anonymously on: 0800 555 111.
