Robbie Williams enters rehab

Pop singer Robbie Williams has entered a rehab clinic in the US to be treated for a dependency on prescription drugs.

A statement on the former Take That star, who turns 33 today, said: "Robbie Williams has today been admitted into a treatment centre in America for his dependency on prescription drugs. There will be no further comment."

Williams had previously entered rehab after Take That split up in the Nineties to be treated for addiction to drugs and alcohol.

Dubai police have beaten and electrocuted three British men awaiting trial on drugs charges, a human rights charity has alleged. The three men, Grant Cameron and Karl Williams, from London, and Suneet Jeerh, from Essex, were arrested on holiday last July after police said they found synthetic cannabis known as "spice" in their car.

Man Admits Murdering Georgia Williams
A man has admitted to the murder of teenager Georgia Williams. Georgia, 17, went missing from her home in Wellington on 26 May. Her body was found in a woodland area near the Nant-y-Garth pass, near Wrexham, four days later. Post-mortem examinations revealed the teenager had died of pressure being applied to her neck.
