Teens found guilty of racist murder
Three white teenagers have been found guilty of the racially aggravated murder of Asian taxi driver Mohammad Parvaiz.
Father-of-three Mr Parvaiz, 41, was ambushed as he travelled to collect a fare and was dragged from his car and beaten to death by a gang of teenagers in Huddersfield in July last year.
Graham Slavin and Christopher Murphy, both 18, and Stephen Utley, 17, were found guilty of the murder at Leeds Crown Court on Friday.
Another man, Michael Hand, 19, had pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing.
Michael Beeby, 16 and Jason Harris, 17, were found not guilty of murder and manslaughter.
Judge Heather Steel, who lifted the reporting restrictions on the case, adjourned sentencing for reports, but said that both Murphy and Hand would receive life sentences.
