River search continues

The search for the 15 year-old boy swept into a flooded river is continuing today.

Divers and a boat have been brought in a bid to locate the boy who fell into the River Isis in Oxford.

Two friends of the boy raised the alarm, telling a passer-by that their friend had fallen into the river and drowned.

It is understood that the boys had been playing on a flooded riverbank track when the incident occurred.

The Portmeadow, flood plain area is one of the most used recreational spots in the city.

Boy's Body Recovered From River
Police have recovered the body of a 10-year-old boy who was swept away by a river. It is understood the youngster fell into the River Severn and was reported missing on Sunday at 8pm. The body was discovered at around 9.45am by a member of the public about 400 yards from the Passage Inn on the east bank of the river.

Body Found In River Following Search For Missing Boy
A body has been found from the River Great Ouse in Cambridgeshire by police searching for a missing boy, believed to be 15-years-old. The boy went missing in the river near Church Lane in Harford on Thursday afternoon. The death is not being treated as suspicious.

Police Appeal For Missing 16-Year-Old
Police have appealed for help in tracing 16-year-old Joseph Ogun, who has been missing since Monday, 07 September. Police said they are "increasingly concerned" for his welfare. He is described as a black boy, 5ft 8ins tall, of large build and with dark cropped hair. It is not known what he was last seen wearing.

Baby Dies After Being Bitten By Family Pet
A man has been arrested in connection with the death of a baby bitten by dog in Sunderland. The three-week-old baby boy died in hospital following an incident at his home in Falkland Road. Police were called to the address at 04:15 on Saturday, 20 June. It is understood that the baby had been bitten by the families pet dog.

Boy Dies After Falling Into River In Argyll
A 10-year-old boy has died after falling into a river in Argyll while on holiday with his family. Emergency services were called to the incident at 13:45 on Tuesday. The boy was rescued by a passer-by after getting into difficulties. He was airlifted to Glasgow for treatment, however he later died at Yorkhill Hospital.
