Investigations continues into family deaths

Police investigating the deaths of two children, their mother and her brother have revealed that the bodies were discovered after a man called them to say that he had murdered his "entire family".

The bodies of Olufunke Sobo, 36, her brother Yemi, 41,and her two children - 12-year-old Abigail and five-year-old Stephen Crampton - were found in Hawthorn Gardens, Newcastle on Tuesday.

It has been reported that the children's father, Neil Crampton, 33, made the call.

A man was arrested just hours after the bodies were discovered. Police confirmed that a 33-year-old man had been arrested in Gateshead on Tuesday. They are waiting to question him as he is currently receiving medical treatment.

It is not known how the family died, but police said that they had been subjected to a "sustained violent attack".

Man arrested after revealing bodies to police
A 53-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after turning up at a police station and revealing the location of two bodies. The man walked in to Luton police station around 4am on Friday morning and revealed that a woman's body was in a van parked outside and a man's body was at an address in Aylesbury.

Police Not Seeking Any One Else Over Children's Deaths
A woman arrested in connection with the discovery of the bodies of three children remains in police custody. The bodies of a girl (4) and twin boys (3) were found at their home in Thetford Road, New Malden on Tuesday. Police arrested 42-year0old Tania Clarence in connection with the bodies.

Life For Manchester Murderer
A 33-year-old Manchester man who killed a devoted family man has been jailed for life. Paul Cusack, of Mauldeth Road West, pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of 67-year-old semi-retired joiner Sid Waller on the grounds of diminished responsibility at Manchester Crown Court.

Inquiry Continues Into Hampshire Family Deaths
The investigation into the deaths of a family of four in Hampshire is continuing today. The bodies of Andrew and Vicki Case and their two daughters, Phoebe, two, and one-year-old Nereya were found at their home in the New Forest village of Fordingbridge on Monday.

Relative held over family deaths
