Post-mortems due to be carried out on Corfu children
The results of post-mortem examinations on two children who died in Corfu are due to be released.
The bodies of seven-year-old Christianne Shepherd and Robert Shepherd, six, were discovered in their hotel room at the Louis Corcyra hotel in the east coast village of Gouvia.
Their father Neil Shepherd, 38, and his partner Ruth Beatson, 28, were discovered unconscious in the hotel room. The couple were taken to hospital. Earlier on Friday, it was reported that Mr Shepherd's condition had improved overnight and on Friday afternoon, reports indicated that Ms Beaston had regained consciousness.
According to reports, the couple have both been taken off ventilator machines and it is thought that their lives are not in danger.
The family, from Horbury, near Wakefield in West Yorkshire, had been on a holiday with tour operator Thomas Cook for the school half-term break. According to reports, the children had lived with their mother, Mr Shepherd's ex-wife, in the same village.
According to Greek police, poisoning, possibly from mushrooms, could have caused the deaths. A police spokesperson said that the stomach contents of both the children and the adults have been sent to a university on the Greek mainland in order for toxicology tests to be carried out. The results are not expected for several days.
However, there has also been speculation that the family may have suffered carbon monoxide poisoning, possibly from a gas leak.

Funeral held for Corfu tragedy children

Death Fall Teens Named
The two teenage girls who died when they jumped from a bridge in Scotland in an apparent suicide pact were named last night. One was Neve Lafferty who was 15. She jumped to her death with Georgia Rowe, who was 14, off the 100ft Erskine Bridge, near Glasgow.

Corfu couple return to Britain
The father of two children who died from carbon monoxide while on holiday in Corfu has returned to the UK with his girlfriend. Neil Shepherd, 38, and Ruth Beaston, 27, were seriously ill after being overcome by gas fumes at their holiday bungalow at the Louis Corcyra Beach Hotel last week.
