Actor faces sex charges

Comic actor Chris Langham has appeared in court charged with indecent assault.

The 57-year-old from Cranbrook, Kent was charged with eight counts of indecent assault and a serious sexual offence, as well as 15 counts of making indecent images of children.

Mr Langham's case was adjourned until November 22 and he was released on conditional bail, which included a ban on him having unsupervised access to children under 16.

Mr Langham was awarded a BAFTA for his role as government minster Hugh Abbot in the BBC political satire 'The Thick Of It'.

His previous writing credits include 'The Muppet Show' and 'Not The Nine O'Clock News'.

He has announced that he would withdraw from all BBC projects until the matter was resolved.

William Roache has been charged with five counts of indecent assault against four girls aged between 12 and 16 during the 1960s. This is in addition to two previous charges brought in May of raping a 15-year-old girl in 1967.

Chris Langham To Be Sentenced Over Child Porn
Actor Chris Langham is awaiting sentencing on charges of downloading child pornography. The Bafta Award-winning star, who appeared in shows such as 'Help' and 'The Thick Of It', was found guilty of 15 counts of making an indecent photograph of a child during a trial at Maidstone Crown Court in August.

Gary Glitter Denies Sex Offences Charges
Gary Glitter has denied 10 charges of sex offences against three girls in the 1970s and early 80s. Glitter, whose real name is Paul Gadd, pleaded not guilty at Southwark Crown Court in London. It is understood the charges include six counts of indecent assault and one charge of unlawful intercourse.

Nigel Evans has resigned from his role as Deputy Commons Speaker after being charged with a number of offences, including sexual assault, indecent assault and rape. The 55-year-old is accused of two counts of indecent assault, five counts of sexual assault and one rape count, in relation to seven men.
