Stolen Liverpool football memorabilia uncovered
Football memorabilia stolen from the homes of several Liverpool FC players has been recovered by police.
The discovery was made following a raid in on a house in the Tuebrook area on Tuesday night.
The goods discovered included football shirts, medals and expensive hi-fi equipment.
Four men, all aged in twenties and from Liverpool, were arrested on suspicion of burglary, conspiracy to commit burglary and handling stolen goods.
The homes of England striker Peter Crouch, Danish defender Daniel Agger, goal-keeper Jerzy Dudek and on-loan striker Sinama Pongolle were all targeted.
Commenting on the arrests, Detective Sergeant Peter Cain said: "This has been the result of hard work and persistence in partnership with our colleagues in Cheshire and while working closely with Liverpool FC."
