Woman charged with terror offences

A woman has been charged with two terror offences, Greater Manchester Police have confirmed.

Mehreen Haji, 25, of Elmfield Street, Cheetham Hill, was arrested by the GMP's anti-terrorist unit on September 19 as part of an ongoing investigation.

She was charged with two offences of entering into funding arrangements for the purposes of terrorism on Monday.

Ms Haji is due to appear before City of Westminster Magistrates' Court in London on Tuesday.

Police Granted Warrant To Hold Terror Suspects
Police have been granted more time to question two men suspected of terrorism offences relating to activities in Syria. Two 21-year-old men were arrested on Monday at Heathrow Airport after arriving on a flight from Istanbul. It is understood that the men are from Handsworth in Birmingham.

Six Men Charged With Terror-Related Offences
Scotland Yard have charged six men with terror and fraud offences. The men were arrested on 30 November in Dover and between 01 and 04 December in London. The men are said to range in age from 24 to 43, and five of the six are believed to be from London.

Birmingham Men Charged With Terror Offences
Three men from Birmingham have been charged with terrorism offences. The charges follow raids carried out last week by the West Midlands Counter Terrorism Unit. Jewel Uddin, 26, Omar Mohammed Khan, 27, and Mohammed Hasseen, 23, all from Sparkhill, will appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.

Man charged with terror offences in Manchester
A man has been charged with two terror offences in Manchester, police have confirmed. Habib Ahmed, 26, from Cheetham Hill was arrested on August 23. He was charged with keeping information about potential terrorist targets and undergoing weapons training in Pakistan.

Eight men charged with terror offences
Eight men have been charged with terrorism-related offences, the BBC has reported today. All eight are expected to appear before Bow Street Magistrates Court tomorrow and will face charges including conspiracy to commit murder. A ninth man who was also being held has been charged with possession of a prohibited weapon.
