'Tramp' paedophile jailed for 13 years
A senior council officer who dressed as a tramp in order to sexually assault a number of schoolgirls has been jailed for 13 years.
Southwark Crown Court heard how 58-year-old father-of-two Anthony De Boise led a bizarre double life of respectable family man and paedophile.
Over a seven-year period, De Boise would leave his home, dressed in scruffy clothes and dark glasses, to stalk beauty spots in London and Surrey looking for young female victims.
The court heard how De Boise ordered the girls into the woods, sometimes at knifepoint, where he threatened to rape, injure and even kill them before he ordered them to strip.
Six girls were assaulted by De Boise between 1989 and 1996.
De Boise was able to evade the police by dressing in such a way as that he appeared to be an unemployed down-and-out.
However, in his normal day-to-day life, De Boise dressed impeccably, the court was told, and was employed as a planning officer by Wandsworth Council, where colleagues described him as 'Mr Nice Guy'.
De Boise was finally caught after a relative accused him of stealing money from his father's estate.
A DNA sample provided to the Metropolitan Police matched those retrieved after some of the attacks.
