Two people remanded in custody over 'bomb plot'
Two men have been remanded in custody in connection over an alleged plot to blow up transatlantic airliners.
Donald Stewart Whyte, 21, from High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire and Mohammed Usman Saddique, 24, of Walthamstow, east London, are both accused of preparing acts of terrorism.
Mr Stewart Whyte was also charged with three firearms offences.
Both men were remanded in custody at City of Westminster Magistrates' Court to appear at the Old Bailey on September 18.
Three other people being questioned by police in connection with the alleged plot have been released without charge.
Fifteen other people have also been charged in connection with the alleged plot. Eleven have been charged with conspiracy to murder and preparing acts of terrorism, while three people other people have been charged with failing to disclose information.
A 17-year-old youth is also being held on an unrelated terrorism charge.
