British tourist shot dead in Jordan
A British tourist has died after a gunman opened fire on a group of tourists in the Jordanian capital Amman.
Five other tourists - including two British women - were also injured in the attack, which happened near the Roman Amphitheatre. The male tourist is understood to have died at the scene. The other injured tourists are believed to be from Australia, New Zealand and the Netherlands.
According to eyewitness reports, the gunman, who was reported to have been arrested after the attack, was said to have approached the group, shouting 'Allah Akbar' (God is great) before opening fire on the group with a handgun.

A British tourist has been welcomed home by his family, who feared he had died in the Asian tsunami disaster. Anthony Blake, 70, from Colchester, Essex, had been on holiday in Thailand when the tsunami struck on Boxing Day. His family had feared that he had been killed in the disaster, when he failed to make contact with them.

A man has been arrested in Thailand in connection with the death of a 22-year-old Briton shot dead at a bar on New Years Eve. It is thought that British tourist Stephen Ashton, of south London, was caught by a stray bullet during a fight between two groups at a bar on Koh Phangan.

Vigilance Urged As Costa Bombed Again
Weekend bombs on the Coast del Sol have prompted the Foreign Office to issue advice to holidaymakers travelling to southern Spain. Their website said: "There is a high threat from terrorism in Spain. Attacks could be indiscriminate, including in places frequented by expatriates and foreign travellers.
