Man remanded over 'bomb plot'
A man has appeared in court on Friday charged in connection with an alleged plot to blow up transatlantic flights.
Umair Hussain, 24, from east London, has been charged with failing to disclose information. He was remanded in custody at City of Westminster Magistrates' Court until September 1. His brother Mehran Hussain has already been charged with the same offence, which relates to another brother, Nabeel Hussain.
Nabeel Hussain is believed to be one of eight people still in police custody in connection with the alleged plot. Police have until next Wednesday to continue questioning them.
Two other suspects were released without charge on Wednesday night.
Eleven people, including Mehran Hussain, appeared in court charged in connection with the alleged plot on Tuesday. Eight suspects - Tanvir Hussain, Umar Islam, Arafat Waheed Khan, Ahmed Abdullah Ali, Ibrahim Savant, Waheed Zaman, Assad Ali Sarwar and Adam Khatib - were charged with conspiracy to murder and preparing acts of terrorism.
They were remanded in custody until September 4, when they are due to appear at the Old Bailey.
Cossar Ali - the only woman still being held in connection with the inquiry and the mother of an eight-month-old baby - was charged with failing to disclose information and was remanded in custody to reappear in court on September 19, alongside Mehran Hussain.
A 17-year-old youth, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was charged with possessing items of use to people preparing to commit acts of terror. He was remanded until August 29.

Police continue to question terror suspects
Police are continuing to question four terror suspects arrested in London as part of an investigation into alleged international terrorism. Three men - two aged 29 and one aged 21 - were arrested on Monday night in Hackney, east London, while the fourth man - who is aged 28 - was arrested on Tuesday in south-east London.

23 Charged With Drug Offences Following Raids
More than 20 people have been charged with drug offences following a number of raids carried out in London, Gravesend, Dover and Deal. A total of 23 people were arrested during twenty raids carried out over three days. The suspects, ranging in age from 17 to 52, have all been charged in connection with the supply of class A drugs.

Mobile provide EE is to refund around £1m to a number of customers wrongly charged VAT between October 2012 and October 2014. It is understood that EE customers who travelled outside the EU during those dates and used internet data were affected by the charges. The company estimated it as being about 0.5% of its customers.
