Two charged following anti-terror raids

Two men have been charged with terrorism offences, following a series of raids in Bolton last month.

Omar Altimimi, from Lansdowne Road, Bolton, was charged with four offences under the Terrorism Act.

The charges relate to the possession of any materials or articles for the purposes of terrorism and the collection of information for terrorist purposes.

Mr Altimimi also faces one charge under the Proceeds of Crime Act.

Yusuf Abdullah, 29, of no fixed address, faces two charges - one under the Proceeds of Crime Act and the other under the Theft Act.

Both men were arrested during police raids on eight properties in Bolton on June 27.

Both men will appear at Bow Street Magistrates' Court on Saturday.

Portsmouth Man Charged Under The Terrorism Act
A man has been charged under the Terrorism Act and is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court later today. Mustakim Jaman, 23, from Portsmouth was charged under Section 5 of the Terrorism Act 2006. He was arrested as part of many warrants executed across Hampshire and London by officers from the South East Counter Terrorism Unit (SECTU).

Pair charged under Terrorism Act
Two men arrested during raids in West Yorkshire last week have been charged under the Terrorism Act. Rizwan Ditta, 29 and Mohammed Bilal, 25, both from Halifax were arrested by anti-terrorism officers in a series of raids carried out by Metropolitan and West Yorkshire Police on January 23.

Birmingham Men Charged With Terror Offences
Three men from Birmingham have been charged with terrorism offences. The charges follow raids carried out last week by the West Midlands Counter Terrorism Unit. Jewel Uddin, 26, Omar Mohammed Khan, 27, and Mohammed Hasseen, 23, all from Sparkhill, will appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.
