Hitmen jailed for killing student
Two more men have been jailed for life for the murder of a Somali student in London two years ago.
Galal Hamza, 25, was shot dead in the street in Earl's Court, west London, in April 2004 in an apparently motiveless attack.
Daniel Turvey, 22, from Fulham, south-west London, was jailed for the murder last year.
His two accomplices - Mohammed Mustafa and Edward Allimadi, both 25, and from Battersea and Chelsea respectively - were both jailed for life at the Old Bailey on Friday. Both were told that they would serve a minimum of 30 years each.
The men were also sentenced to 20 years, to run concurrently, for the attempted murder of Mr Hamza's friend Abdul Aziz, who was shot in the same attack.
The men had denied both charges.
The court had heard how Mr Hamza had come to England after losing his father and three brothers in the civil war in Somalia.
It is not known why Mr Hamza was targeted by the men. Detective Chief Inspector Guy Ashley said: "Only the three defendants know the reason he was killed and they are not prepared to discuss it with anyone."
One possibility is that Mr Hamza was mistaken by the men for someone they held a grudge against.
Judge Stephen Kramer described the attack as a "cold-blooded and apparently motiveless attack on two men".
