Massage parlour murder caller traced
Police have traced an anonymous caller who contacted officers investigating the murder of two women at a Shropshire massage parlour.
The caller had contacted police in connection with the murder of Annie Eels, the 55-year-old receptionist, and 24-year-old Samantha Tapper on Monday but did not give a name.
The bodies of the two women were discovered in Rachael's Health Studio in Frankwell, Shrewsbury on Sunday by a member of the public.
Both women had suffered head injuries.
Police said that there had been a "fantastic response" to appeals for information.
Detective Chief Inspector Shelia Thorne said: "We now know who he is following the press appeal and will be establishing whether he had further information to assist the inquiry.
"There will be many other people with vital information who, for whatever reason, have not yet contacted us. It is absolutely vital they do not hold back."
DCI Thorne said that many of the 250 callers who have contacted police so far have been clients and customers of the massage parlour. She said: "Those customers who have yet to contact us should do so without further delay.
"We are currently processing contact lists but it would be extremely helpful and save embarrassment if they came to us rather than us having to knock on their doors at some point in the future."
