Five still being questioned over soldier's death
Five servicemen are still being questioned over the death of a soldier who died while exercising at an army barracks in Wiltshire.
Private Gavin Williams, 22, of Hengoed, Caerphilly, collapsed at Lucknow Barracks at Tidworth on Monday.
It is believed that Pte Williams had been exercising as a disciplinary exercise for an act of misbehaviour.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Ambulance Trust said that ambulance crews had been called to the scene and said that Pte Williams appeared to be "hot and agitated". He died later in Salisbury District Hospital.
Five soldiers from his regiment, the 2nd Battalion The Royal Welsh, have been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter. Wiltshire Police are continuing to question the men.
The first four men - aged 44, 35, 31 and 28 - were arrested and taken to Salisbury police station for questioning on Monday. A fifth man, aged 29, was arrested on Tuesday and is also being held at the same police station.
The Ministry of Defence said that it was taking the incident "extremely seriously" but said that it was for Wiltshire Police to issue any comment on the investigation.
