Record label boss seriously ill after freak shooting accident
The owner of record label ZTT is seriously ill in hospital after being accidentally shot with an air rifle by her son.
Jill Sinclair, 54, who runs the record label with music producer husband Trevor Horn, was hit in the neck by a pellet from the air rifle, while at her home near Henley, Oxfordshire on Sunday.
It is understood that Ms Sinclair is in a critical, but stable condition in hospital.
The pellet was fired by Ms Sinclair's 22-year-old son, Aaron, during a target practice session.
A ZTT spokesman described the incident as a "complete accident". He said: "It was a real freak occurrence that her son was shooting at some targets in the garden and wasn't aware that she was close by."
Ms Sinclair, a former maths teacher, formed ZTT records in 1983, achieving early success with bands such as Frankie Goes To Hollywood and The Art of Noise.
Ms Sinclair and Mr Horn have been married for 26 years and have four children - three girls and one boy.
