Resort body believed to be missing Briton

A body found in a Spanish resort is thought to be that of a missing British man.

Kevin Hoare, 39, has not been seen since May 11. He had gone to a gay nightclub, the Organics Club in Stiges, near Barcelona, after having dinner with two friends. He remained in the club after his friends had left.

Mr Hoare had been due to return to the UK on May 13 but failed to turn up at Gatwick to meet his brother.

Police said that the missing man had not used his mobile phone or his bank account since he disappeared.

The body was discovered in the resort of Stiges on Tuesday. A post-mortem has been conducted, but Sussex Police said that Spanish police had not yet disclosed the cause of death.

Mr Hoare's family are expected to fly to Spain in order to formally identify the body.
