Footballer injured in nightclub brawl
Chelsea defender Wayne Bridge has injured in a disturbance at a London nightclub during a night out with fellow Premiership players.
The disturbance happened at the Embassy Club in Mayfair, where it is understood an end-of-season private party was being held for footballers from the Chelsea and Arsenal teams.
Bridge, who has been on loan to Fulham since January, is reported to have suffered cuts and bruising in the disturbance. However, he did not go to hospital.
Three men were arrested following the disturbance - one on suspicion of assault and the other two on suspicion of using racist language.
All three have since been bailed. It is believed that none of those arrested were footballers.
Bridge, 25, was named in Sven-Goran Eriksson's provisional 23-man squad for this year's World Cup in Germany.
