Student remanded over nurse murder
An 18-year-old man has appeared in court charged with the murder of nurse Cheryl Moss.
Stuart Harling, a trainee accountant from Rainham, Essex, was arrested on Friday in connection with the killing. He was remanded in custody at Enfield Magistrates Court today.
He is due to reappear at the Old Bailey on July 17.
Mrs Moss, 33, was stabbed to death last Thursday morning as she took a cigarette break behind St George's Hospital in Hornchurch, Essex.
A post-mortem confirmed that Mrs Moss died from multiple stab wounds.
Mr Harling was arrested following the discovery of a blue Nike sports bag near the scene of the murder. Police have not revealed the contents of the bag.
There has been increased security at the hospital since the attack.
Ralph McCormack, Chief Executive of the Havering Primary Care Trust, which runs St George's Hospital, said that security would be reviewed.

Second arrest over nurse murder
Police investigating the fatal stabbing of a nurse on Thursday have arrested a second man. The eighteen-year-old is now being held at a north London police station. Cheryl Moss, 33, from Dagenham was stabbed to death at the back of St George's Hospital in Hornchurch as she took a cigarette break.
