New e-fit issued in model murder hunt
Police investigating the murder of teenage model Sally Anne Bowman have released a second e-fit of the suspect.
Eighteen-year-old Sally Anne was murdered when she returned to her home in South Croydon after a night out last September. She was sexually assaulted and stabbed just yards from her home.
The attack has been forensically linked to another sex attack, which occurred in nearby Purley in 2001.
The woman who was attacked in 2001 has compiled the latest e-fit. Police believe that the e-fit resembles what Sally Anne's killer would have looked like in 2001.
The first e-fit had been compiled by the victim of a robbery in the same area where Sally Anne was murdered, an hour before the attack.
Detective Chief Inspector Stuart Cundy said: "The victim of the 2001 attack is the one person I know who definitely saw the face of Sally Anne's murderer.
"This is a man who may appear quite normal and may never have been in trouble with police before.
"However, he is also out and about in the side streets of South Croydon during the early hours, he has carried a knife, he has exposed himself before, his behaviour may even have changed since September last year."
Anyone with information is asked to contact the incident room on: 0208 721 4005 or Crimestoppers anonymously on: 0800 555 111.
