Man remanded in custody charged with Pc shooting
A man has been remanded in custody today charged with attempted murder over the shooting of policewoman Rachael Bown.
Trevon Kyron Thomas, 24, from Bilborough in Nottingham was also been charged with possessing a firearm. There was no application made for bail.
He was arrested at Heathrow Airport on Friday morning.
Pc Bown, 23, was shot in the stomach as she investigated a burglary in the Lenton area of Nottingham last Monday night.
She underwent two operations last week at the Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham.
A spokesperson for Nottingham Police said that she was making a good recovery, following her second operation on Thursday.

Three Charged Over Nottingham Fight Death
Three men have been charged in connection with the death of a man in Nottingham in the early hours of Sunday morning. Police investigating the death of 19-year-old Joshua Bradley, from Bulwell, have charged three men with violent disorder. Police said they believe Mr Bradley died following a fight in the city centre.

Man Charged With Egging Nigel Farage
A man who threw eggs at Nigel Farage during the politician's campaign visit to Nottingham has been charged. According to reports, 33-year-old Frederick Glenister was charged in connection with the alleged assault in Wheeler Gate in the city at around 1.30pm on Thursday. He has been released on bail and will appear before city magistrates on 22 May.

Man Charged Over Stabbing Boy
A man in his 50's has been charged in connection with the apparent stabbing of a young boy. It is understood that 51-year-old Steve Frogg has been charged with attempted murder over the incident involving a four-year-old boy in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire.

Wounded PC to return to beat
The young Police Constable shot and seriously wounded while investigating a break-in in Nottingham has said that she plans to return to the beat. PC Rachael Bown, who has since left hospital, spent a week in intensive care after she was shot in the stomach, but has said that the incident will not stop her doing her job.
