Entwistle extradited to US
The British man whose wife and baby daughter were found shot dead in Massachusetts last month was extradited to the US today to face murder charges.
Neil Entwistle, 27, who had agreed to return to the US to face the charges, was handed over to US Marshals at Gatwick Airport.
He was arrested in Royal Oak tube station in London on February 9. At a hearing in Bow Street Magistrates Court he agreed to return to the US.
Mr Entwistle has been accused of murdering his American-born wife Rachel and their nine-month-old daughter Lillian.
Their bodies were found in the couple's home in Hopkinton, Massachusetts on January 22. Both had been shot dead.
Mr Entwistle had left the US before the bodies were discovered and returned to the UK, where he has been staying with his parents at their home in Nottinghamshire.
Evidence from the US suggests that Mr Entwistle had shot Rachel and Lillian with a gun belonging to his father-in-law. It is also claimed that he had conducted internet searches to do with killings the week prior to the murders.
If Mr Entwistle is convicted of the murders, he will face life imprisonment.
Massachusetts is one of the few US states that does not have the death penalty.
