Four arrests in missing baby case
West Midland Police have arrested four people following the disappearance of a six-month-old baby.
Troy Simpson, who is of mixed race, disappeared from his home in Smethwick on Monday night. He was reported missing by his grandmother, who noticed that he was not in his bed on Tuesday morning.
Troy was wearing a tiger jumpsuit, with a gold and silver bracelet on each arm, when he disappeared.
Detectives have appealed for information, amid increasing concerns that the child may be dead.
Four people - two men and two women - have since been arrested.
Speaking at a press conference in Birmingham, Supt Andy Bebbington said: "I fervently hope that Troy is alive, but I have to accept the possibility that he may be dead."
He appealed to the public to search their houses, outside and in gardens and wasteland near them in order to find Troy.
Supt Bebbington added that it was unlikely that an intruder had taken Troy, because the house was "in a state where an intruder would have been very unlikely to be able to enter".
