Funeral held for murdered PC

Hundreds of police officers have attended the funeral of murdered PC Sharon Beshenivsky in Bradford.

Officers lined the streets as the funeral procession made its way to Bradford Cathedral just before midday on Wednesday.

PC Beshenivsky's police hat was placed on the coffin, which was also draped in a West Yorkshire Police flag.

The 38-year-old mother of three and stepmother of two was shot dead as she went to investigate a robbery at a travel agency in Bradford on November 18.

Her colleague, PC Teresa Milburn, 37, was also injured during the shooting.

The congregation at Bradford Cathedral - which reportedly included representatives from every UK police force - heard tributes to PC Beshenivsky from the Chief Constable of West Yorkshire Police Colin Cramphorn.

Her favourite song - Shania Twain's 'You're Still The One' - was also performed.

Two men - Yusuf Jama, 19, and Muzzaker Imtiaz Shah, 24 - have been charged with PC Beshenivsky's murder. Police are still searching for Mr Jama's brother, Mustaf Jama, in connection with the murder.

Rewards totalling £90,000 have been offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the killers.
