Baroness Thatcher leaves hospital
Former Conservative Prime Minister Baroness Thatcher has left hospital after being given a "clean bill of health".
Lady Thatcher, 80, told waiting reporters: "I'm fine, I feel fine."
The former Prime Minister was taken to Chelsea and Westminster Hospital after she began to feel unwell during a visit to her hairdressers on Wednesday.
Earlier, a hospital spokesperson said that she was “fine” and had been kept in overnight as a “precautionary measure”. He added that she had spent a “comfortable night”.
Lady Thatcher, who was Prime Minster from 1979 to 1990, has suffered increasing ill health in recent years, after a series of strokes. In 2002, doctors advised her against making any more public speeches.
Earlier David Cameron, the new leader of the Conservative party, said: “In was sorry to hear that Lady Thatcher was unwell. I wish her a full and speedy recovery.”
