Armed carjacking closes Bristol rail station
Police have appealed for information after a woman was forced to drive her car at gunpoint to a Bristol railway station.
The woman had been driving her Renault car along Ashley Road in the Montpelier area of the city around 7:25pm, when a man forced her to stop.
He forced the woman to drive to Temple Meads station at gunpoint, where she was then released unharmed.
The station was evacuated, while police firearms officers carried out a search of the station, platforms and trains and reviewed CCTV footage.
The search disrupted services for around an hour and half, before the station reopened at around 9:30pm.
Police have taken the car for forensic examination.
An extensive inquiry is now underway to locate the man, who is wanted on suspicion of armed robbery of the woman driver.
Police have asked anyone who witnessed the incident to contact Crimestoppers on: 0800 555 111.

British Man Dies In Dubai Police Custody
A British man has died in police custody in Dubai. Lee Bradley Brown, 39, from east London, died on Tuesday after he was taken to a Dubai police station where he was allegedly assaulted and put into a cell. It has been reported that Mr Brown, was arrested over a row at the luxury hotel Burj Al Arab hotel.

Teenage Girl Arrested Over Body Find
A girl and a 41-year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of murder after two bodies were discovered in Suffolk. Suffolk Police said that the first body was found yesterday morning at around 11am after a member of the public called police to express concern for the welfare of a woman in a flat at Victoria Street.

Man Arrested Over Kent Doctor's Murder
A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a doctor in Kent. Consultant paediatrician Dr Victoria Anyetei, 54, was found in her car in the driveway of her home in Dartford on August 14. She had been stabbed to death. Kent Police said that the man was arrested on suspicion of murder at an address in Dartford.
