Funeral held for Lord Lichfield
The funeral of renowned photographer Lord Lichfield has taken place today.
A cousin of the Queen, Lord Lichfield, known professionally as Patrick Lichfield, died last week at the age of 66, after suffering a major stroke.
Around 200 mourners attended the funeral at St Michael and All Angels Church in Colwich, Staffordshire – a short distance from his ancestral home, Shugborough Hall.
Lord Lichfield’s partner Lady Annuziata Asquith and his ex-wife Leonora, Countess of Lichfield, attended the private service, along with his children, Viscount Anson, Lady Rose and Lad Eloise Anson, his sister Lady Elizabeth Shakerley and his nine-year-old pet Labrador, Drum.
No members of the Royal Family attended the service.
Two memorial services to celebrate Lord Lichfield’s life and career will be held at a later date at Lichfield Cathedral and at the Guards Chapel in Wellington Barracks, London.

Lord Lichfield dies after stroke
Photographer Lord Lichfield has died after suffering a stoke aged 66. The Queen paid tribute to the Royal photographer, saying that she was "deeply saddened" at the news of his death. The Queen's first cousin once removed had been treated at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford following a serious stroke.

Two In Court Over Eccles' Murder
A 20-year-old man and a teenager are due to appear in court today, charged with the murder of a father-of-five who was attacked when he refused to hand over a bottle of wine. Michael Eccles, 43, was attacked in Weston Road, Lichfield, Staffordshire on Sunday, as he made his way home from shops in the Dimbles area of the city.

Coroner at Diana inquest steps down
Baroness Butler-Sloss is to step down as coroner for the inquests into the death of Princess Diana and Dodi Al Fayed, it has been announced. Last month, Dodi's father Mohammed Al Fayed won a judicial review against Lady Butler-Sloss' decision not to appoint juries in the inquest.
