Suspected bomber remanded in custody

Suspect bomber Hussain Osman has been remanded in custody following a court appearance on Friday morning.

Amid tight security Mr Osman, 27, appeared before Bow Street Magistrates court sitting at Belmarsh prison.

He was charged with seven offences including the attempted murder of passengers on a Tube train at Shepherd's Bush on July 21.

Mr Osman spoke only to confirm his name and that he had no fixed address.

He was remanded in custody to appear again on December 8.

Extradited from Italy on Thursday, the Ethiopian-born man was arrested when he arrived in the UK. Taken to Paddington Green Police Station, he was formally charged and taken to Belmarsh High security jail.

Three other suspects currently being held in relation to the incidents on July 21 are also to appear in court on December 8.

A fifth man is being held on conspiracy to murder and conspiracy to cause explosion charges.

A number of other people have been charged with withholding information from police and harbouring suspects.

23 Charged With Drug Offences Following Raids
More than 20 people have been charged with drug offences following a number of raids carried out in London, Gravesend, Dover and Deal. A total of 23 people were arrested during twenty raids carried out over three days. The suspects, ranging in age from 17 to 52, have all been charged in connection with the supply of class A drugs.

Suspected suicide bomber’s relatives charged
Three relatives of a British suicide bomb suspect have appeared before Bow Street Magistrates court to face terrorism charges. The sister, brother and wife of bomb suspect Omar Khan Sharif, 27, were all denied bail and were remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on Monday, May 19.

Mobile Customers To Share £1m Refund
Mobile provide EE is to refund around £1m to a number of customers wrongly charged VAT between October 2012 and October 2014. It is understood that EE customers who travelled outside the EU during those dates and used internet data were affected by the charges. The company estimated it as being about 0.5% of its customers.

Shrien Dewani Extradited To South Africa
British man Shrien Dewani, 34, suspected of arranging the murder of his 28-year-old wife on their honeymoon has arrived in South Africa to face trial after a three-year legal battle against extradition due to his mental health problems.
