Police launch appeal after family train deaths
Police have appealed for witnesses who saw a young mother jump to her death with her two children at a London train station last week.
Navjeet Sidhu, 27, jumped in front of the Heathrow Express train at Southall station, west London, on August 31, with her two children.
Mrs Sidhu and her daughter Simran, 5, died instantly when the train hit them. Her son, Aman, who was 23-months-old died later in hospital.
Police are attempting to establish the last movements of Mrs Sidhu and her children. CCTV footage of the family entering the station prior to the tragedy has already been released.
British Transport Police were at Southall Station on Wednesday, a week after the incident, handing out leaflets to passengers, in order to try and find witnesses.
Her husband, Manjit Sidhu, has spoken of his grief at the loss of his family. He said: “I am trying to cope with the tragic loss of my family who I love so dearly. I miss them immensely and am in a lot of pain.”
